This is why in theatres, the lights along the sides are kept on but very dim during the film. There are several ways to light your entertainment room. In this section you would know the different types of lighting you can use as well as accent lights that helps enhance the look of the room.
Types of lighting effects
The most common type of lighting effect that people use is the dimmer switch.

The lighting effects
It is an inexpensive way of setting the right intensity of the room’s lighting. It is also easy to install and readily found in local hardware stores. With a dimmer switch, you can turn the lights at its fullest brightness to the appropriate dimness. There are more expensive dimmer switches that includes a remote control to allow you to change the light settings. For a more advanced form of lighting effects, you can invest on a central lighting control which allows you to better control your lighting than dimmer switches can. Central lighting control allows you to set various lights and lighting conditions simultaneously either in a single room or multiple rooms rather than adjusting each dimmer switch individually. With the use of these devises you can change the mood of your room from dim lighting when watching flicks to a bit brighter surrounding when playing video games to full brightness when reading a book or studying. Accent lights also help set the mood of your room in that instead of dimming the lights, you can turn them off and leave the accent lights on instead. They offer a dimmer lighting and at the same time enhance certain areas of your room or provide a dramatic effect. They serve the same purpose which is to provide just a little amount of light to avoid straining your eyes when viewing films or playing video games.
